The long, lovely days in the sun and lots of great events to attend have been even sweeter after the last two years. Like many, we staycationed this year and made the most of Scotland’s beaches, hills, fresh food and local delicacies (I think all the NE’s Ice Cream makers and sellers saw us more than once!). We enjoyed the Commonwealth Games (well done Birmingham) and cheered our local competitors on (we have a wealth of talent in our area!). I am writing this in mid-August in blazing sunshine and I can tell you, thinking about fireworks, Halloween and autumn leaves has been quite tricky this year! However, our 62nd issue (and start of year 16) is a bumper one and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did putting it together for you.
