4 ADVERTORIAL When I first started with Hoodles, the fit could not have been more perfect. I moved to the area five years ago, moved up on the Sunday and started on the Monday. I ’ m a big believer in working your way up and leading by example … this means I have and will help with every aspect of the place, from washing dishes to operations and coordination. Mucking in whenever and wherever needed, our close - knit team know Hoodles inside and out. We could not be more excited to see what this new chapter brings for our play barn and café! ” With Hoodles, you can always expect a level of quality and our unique service when you stop by. The team feel their job is to let parents and carers relax knowing their kids are exercising, playing and, most importantly, having incredible fun. No matter the weather, our three spacious play areas allow children to be creative and energetic in a safe, enclosed friendly environment. They want parents to feel comfortable letting their children play in a safe and enclosed area. The layout of the play spaces gives parents a place to relax knowing they have an extra few pairs of eyes to ensure the safety of their kids. They aim to provide a laid - back area to welcome and include all mums, dads, carers and families! ‘ Our job is to let parents and carers relax knowing their kids are exercising, playing and, most importantly, having incredible fun’ Christine adds, “ As a young mum myself, I know the importance of finding a comfortable, relaxing and worthwhile space. The flexibility to come for a class, play or We’re back! The sun is out and we are READY! We spoke to Christine Jamieson the NEW owner of Hoodles Playbarn about reopening after more than a year due to the pandemic. Christine told us that they are so excited to finally be welcoming everyone back to Hoodles! Children socialising with one another, making friends, using their imagination and having a run around … that ’ s what Hoodles is all about! She said “ We ’ ve missed being able to provide our families with the safe, supportive space that has been cultivated over the best part of 12 years. With that time off, we have been focusing on embodying the basics. The things that truly matter. Kids having fun and giving their parents a much - needed break! ” This focus can be found in Hoodles ’ roots. It was started by its original owners, Anna and Richard Stephen. As a young family with three children, they felt there were few, if any, spaces for their young family to go to meet up with others. Starting in Oldmeldrum at half the current size, Hoodles was able to provide a safe environment for kids to relax, socialise and play for mums and kids in the area. ‘It was, and still is, a unique place’ “ Fast forward to today, and it is now my husband Stuart and I who will be taking over the reins ”, said Christine. “ Given that I ’ ve been a part of the team for many years, I am glad I will be a familiar face for regulars. raring2go
