www.hoodles.co.uk 5 simply have a cake and tea in a place that encourages children to play and explore is priceless. With the pandemic, we know a lot of mums can feel isolated for a variety of reasons, so we facilitate classes that run on a weekly basis that allow connections to be formed. Some that come to mind are our yoga bellies class (yoga with babies, ex midwife, from pregnancy, to birth and beyond), Arlene Penny ’ s School of Dance highland dancing lessons, storyland express (every week a new story with toys, singing for babies up to 2), and Abricabeats movement class. ” “ We look to ensure a community atmosphere that helps to foster friendships. Mums can come to the classes, then come for a coffee and bite to eat while their children are having fun. They get to meet and socialise with zero pressure and with the full support of our consistent, regular staff. This helps maintain a familiar face among the chaos of day - to - day life! Beyond that, it does help that our food is outstanding. Our cakes are homemade on - site, and the fresh veg is sourced from local farms where possible. We serve foods for all occasions, breakfast and lunch. ” ‘ The signs say ‘playbarn and café’, but we are so much more than that!’ Hoodles ’ facilities boast three large play areas to suit ages 0 to 12. These include two outdoor spaces, one enclosed with a view from the café and the other in a fenced off area next to the countryside, and an indoor soft play area. Each have their unique features, all of them create a space that encourages creative and active play. Outdoor play is so important. But these days, families have fairly exhausted all the walks and parks. Christine explained, “ We ’ ve all seen the benefits of fresh air and kids making their ADVERTORIAL own fun – it stimulates their imagination greatly. Now that (hopefully) the pandemic is over, we are seeing young children relishing coming back to a place to meet with friends and play. It is great to see friendships grow. Parents can get chatting and my favourite part is seeing them arrange play dates. I feel this is a really important thing and am impatient to see more of it now that restrictions are easing. ” “ I know I ’ ve said this before, but parents deserve to have a place they can relax a little. If only for a few hours … Hoodles is the place for kids to let loose and burn off their boundless energy! She adds, “ The team are just phenomenal. Hoodles have always been big believers of starting at the bottom and working up to more responsibility. The inclination toward developing talented staff means that everyone is more knowledgeable, day after day. It all starts with learning about the people, parents and kids who come through the door. I absolutely love working with our team. Everyone is so reliable, adaptable and supportive. To put it simply, they are all great at their job and have a great blend of youth and experience. ” “ I ’ ve been amazed by the number of messages from customers saying how much they and their children are missing Hoodles. ” ‘Whether you are familiar with our space or a new face, we’d love to welcome you to Hoodles.’ Visit us at: North Mains of Barra, Oldmeldrum, Inverurie AB51 0BB By phone: 01651 873 813 By email: admin@hoodles.co.uk On line: hoodles.co.uk
