23 It sounds like the title of a children ’ s book, but the Dreamy Goat, more formally known as Dreamy Goat Coffee Co., is a specialty coffee shop and vegetarian cafe in Inverurie. Opened in June 2020, it has established itself as a go - to spot in a town with lots of great options for casual dining. Located at the top end of North Street as you drive toward the A96, the Dreamy Goat is slightly out of the town centre, which gives it the advantage of private parking and ample outdoor seating. There is plenty of indoor seating as well, making it a great place to meet up in any weather. We spoke to Courtney O ’ Grady. She told us that the menu at Dreamy Goat features breakfast and lunch options, freshly made smoothies, house - made cakes and treats, and of course specialty coffee and other hot drinks. She said, “ What is most unique about the offering is that almost everything served here, from tapenade to pumpkin spice syrup, is made in - house to ensure that only the best ingredients are used. Even the milk we serve comes fresh from Invercamey Dairy, and breads from local Vegan Bay Baker ”. Both pride themselves on offering a wholesome casual menu that provides plenty of choice for everyone. Courtney said “ We have many customers with a variety of food allergies or who follow a specific diet, and there ’ s nothing better than the look on their face when they realise they actually have more than one alternative to choose from here. ” Dreamy Goat Coffee Co. is a cosy café offering some great options for dining and drinking. The food is fresh, the coff ee is delicious, and the menu changes regul arly to keep things interesting. And if you ’ re in a h urry, the full menu is available for takeaway! The Dreamy Goat North Street, Inverurie, AB51 4DJ www.dreamygoatcoffee.com @dreamygoatcoffee @dreamygoatcoffee Dreamy Goat’s Wholemeal Vegan Pancakes 14 gm ground flaxseed 75 gm water 25 gm olive oil 40 gm maple syrup 7 gm baking powder 5 gm bicarbonate of soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 475gm alternative milk of choice 60 gm oat flour 205 gm wholemeal flour 25 gm porridge oats To prepare, put flaxseed and water in a bowl and allow to sit for 15 minutes. Add all additional ingredients and mix well with a whisk.
