If you don’t have internet access contact the School Admissions Team on 0161 912 5007 for advice on how to submit your application. If your child lives in another local authority you can still apply for Trafford schools, but you must apply via your own home local authority (where you pay your council tax). Applications must be submitted by 15 January 2023. If you want to apply for a grammar school place you must first apply to the schools direct, to sit the entrance examination. High schools in Altrincham and Sale are significantly oversubscribed and it is frequently the case that some catchment area children do not achieve places in their preferred schools.
