raring2go.co.uk 21 Raring2go! WHAT’S ON? Join John Bunyan Museum and the Bunyan Meeting family for a summer of fun and celebration! 2022 marks the 350th Anniversary of several landmark events in our history: John Bunyan was freed after 12 years in prison for illegal preaching, the land Bunyan Meeting still stands on was purchased and licensed for use as a place of worship and John Bunyan was made their minister. Last year we celebrated 75 years of John Bunyan Museum and the 5th Anniversary of the Basement at Bunyan gallery. Arts Council England have funded a two-year project to ensure these key dates are celebrated in style! Explore the history of Bunyan Meeting and its people in our summer exhibition. Stories and artefacts from the past will combine with present day crafts and artwork inspired by highlights from our collection. The exhibition is on at the Basement at Bunyan from 2nd- 27th August, 11am-4pm entry is free. Be inspired by the summer exhibition stories and join the family fun at our Crafty Thursdays, running every Thursday in August from 11am-3:30pm. Drop in - no booking required- £2 per participating child. Get creative and help us make our commemorative patchwork quilt with our Faith in Fabrics project: share your experiences of Bunyan Meeting as a place of creativity, heritage, and faith. Packs can be collected from the Church Office. Free Workshops will take place on 30th July and 20th August. Help Bunyan Meeting continue their celebrations and join them for a special anniversary service on Sunday 21st August at 11am, all ages welcome! We look forward to seeing you!
