Ware Carnival Day kicks off on July 5th, 2025, starting with the spectacular Lea and Stort IWA River Parade of beautifully decorated boats at 12:45pm. The Carnival Parade follows at 1:20pm, and the official opening of the Town Fair takes place at 2:00pm with early opening from noon. SummerTrail Bishops Stortford 19th July to 7th September Pick up a leaflet from the Bishop's Stortford library, Tourist Information Centre and other outlets to follow the trail in search of eleven bees. Next to each letter is a letter collect all eleven letters, put them together and create a word to enter the prize draw. Children's SummerTrail Hertford Town 19th July to 30th August Entertain the children this Summer with the Secret Society of Hertford Crafters children's trail. Families are invited to follow the trail map and discover the themed knitted characters hiding in shops and shop windows across Hertford Town Centre. Hertford Town Teddy Bears Picnic 20th July Hertford Castle Castle Street , SG14 1HR Hertford Town Council warmly welcome friends and families to attend the annual Teddy Bears Picnic. 6
