Devoted to Dogs Day 7th July & 4th August 10:00am - 5:30pm Exbury are offering visitors who bring their fourlegged friends to Exbury a discount of 20% on gardens admission on Sunday 7th July 2024. Dogs are very welcome at Exbury Gardens, they simply ask that they are kept on a short lead and leave nothing behind but paw prints! Summer Garden Games 24th July - 1st September Enjoy Summer Garden Games running throughout the summer holidays, including traditional games such as:egg and spoon race, sack race, welly wanging, slalom races. Donkey Day 25th and 30th July. 6th, 12th, 21st, 26th August 11am-4pm Back by popular demand, Parc Ponies are returning to Exbury with their beautiful donkeys. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Donkey rides are limited to children aged 18 months - 8 years. Children must weigh under 6 stone/38kg to ride. Tickets are £4 each. Family Workshop: Make a Butterfly House 26th July, 1st, 15th, 29th August With help from one of the team, you can make your very own butterfly garden to take home. We’ll supply all the materials needed coupled with a little Exbury ‘know-how’ as you choose how to accessorise your creation. Tickets are £7 per Butterfly House Drop in any time during the morning session which runs from 10am to 1pm or afternoon session which runs from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. Falconry Day 29th July, 7th & 17th August Displays will be held at 11:30am and 1:30pm. Falconry is the art of flying trained hawks at wild quarry in their natural environment. It is an old and very spectacular sport requiring commitment, patience and absolute dedication. Toby is always happy to talk to visitors about the sport of falconry, the hawks and falcons, conservation, hawk welfare and most importantly how success is gained in the field. Family Workshop: Make a Wind Chime 31st July, 6th,14th & 19th August Join a member of the Exbury team for this fun, family workshop who will lend you the tools and supply all the materials you will need to make a windchime to take home. £5 per wind chime. Drop in any time during the morning session which runs from 10am to 1pm or afternoon session which runs from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. Walk with Alpacas 2nd & 28th August Take a walk with your own beautiful alpaca, courtesy of Twinnies Petting Farm. Alpaca walking is a fun activity that is a great way to get out and enjoy nature while spending quality time with these friendly animals. Walking one is a great way to bond with them and learn about their behaviour and personalities. They are gentle, friendly animals that are easy to handle and enjoy being around people.Tickets are £7 a session for a 15 minute walk Open air theatre: The Adventures of Dr Dolittle 2nd Aug 2024 19:00 Running time (approx): 1hr 50mins (inc 20 minute interval). Gates open at 6pm, performance starts at 7pm. Suitable for ages 5+ (younger children also welcome!). Please bring your own picnic blankets or chairs as seating is not provided. Tickets are: Adults £20, Children (3-15) £12, Carers and children under 3 are free. Family Workshop: Make a Hanging Basket 9th & 20th August Join a member of the Exbury team for this fun, family workshop who will lend you the tools and supply all the materials you will need to make a hanging basket to take home. £7 per basket Drop in any time during the morning session which runs from 10am to 1pm or afternoon session which runs from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
