WHAT'S ON 23rd November - 5th January Christmas at Nymans: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Nymans National Trust, Handcross, 10 am - 4 pm Step through the wardrobe into Narnia at Nymans this Christmas to experience The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe family trail and the house decorated in true Narnia fashion. 30th November - 1st December Christmas Trees at The Macs - The Macs Farm, Ditchling, 10 am - 4 pm Choose your perfect tree, whilst enjoying festive food and drink, live music and a Christmas market! 30th November - 24th December Father Christmas at the Royal Pavilion - Royal Pavilion, Brighton, 10 am - 5 pm Meet Father Christmas at the Royal Pavilion in his magical Grotto. Enjoy games, photo opportunities and festive drinks and snacks for all the family. 30th November - 12th January The Snowman™ at Sheffield Park and Garden - Sheffield Park and Garden, Uckfield, 9 am - 4pm Families are invited on a festive walk, re-living the magic of Raymond Briggs’ heart-warming picture book. Look out for twelve decorated sculptures of The Snowman™ along the path. 1st December Christmas Makers Fair - Saltdean Lido, Saltdean, 11.30 am - 4.30 pm Visit the Lido for an enchanting Christmas Makers Fair and purchase Christmas gifts from a wide selection of makers and artists. Free entry. What’s On This Winter Here is a selection of local events this Winter. Make sure that you check dates and times in case they have changed. November/December 1st & 7th December Winter Fayres - Wilderness Wood, Hadlow Down, Uckfield, 9 pm - 4 pm Head to the Winter Fayres to choose a locally grown Christmas tree and soak up the festive atmosphere with stalls, music and mulled cider. 1st, 8th and 15th December Santa’s Grotto - Shelter Hall, Brighton Step into the magic of Christmas at Shelter Hall. Visit the grotto for a magical meet-and-greet with Santa Claus himself, beside the sea. 1st December - 23rd December Finding Father Christmas at Standen - Standen National Trust, East Grinstead, 9.30 am - 3.15 pm Join the woodland sprites on their quest to find Father Christmas in his woodland abode and get to meet the man himself! Charges apply for children (includes gift for each child) and adults. 5th- 22nd December Brighton Winter Fayre - St. Peter’s Square, Brighton Enjoy the Makers Market, workshops, music nights and children’s activities, ranging from Christmas parties, dance classes and crafts. Visit Mr and Mrs Claus in their Christmas Grotto. 6th December - 12th January Snow White Pantomime - Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne This year’s Devonshire Park pantomime Snow White is a traditional family classic. A relaxed performance takes place on 7th January at 5pm. 7th December Christmas Makers Fair - The Shoreham Centre, Shoreham, 10 am - 3.30 pm Get festive by attending a wreath making workshop and choosing gifts from the stalls. Children can write a letter to Santa, design a Christmas card and have their faces painted. 6
