The girls decided to cut their hair off in aid of charity the Little Princess Trust, which takes donated hair and creates wigs for children who have lost their hair to chemotherapy and other treatments and conditions. Jenny and Hazel, from Rosliston in South Derbyshire, decided to do the challenge off their own backs; and have raised more than £100 that will go towards the cost of making the wigs. The Little Princess Trust provides free, real-hair wigs for children and young people experiencing the devastating effects of hair loss. It also fund pioneering, life-saving research into childhood cancers. Established in 2006, the Trust has supplied over 12,000 wigs to children and young people and have invested circa £20 million into ground-breaking childhood cancer research. With many thanks to the Hair Lodge in Rosliston for making the big chop a positive experience. Could you be our next star? Or do you know an under-16 that’s done something amazing? Let us know at burtonandashby@raring2go.co.uk and you could be featured in the next magazine!
