Our wonderful cast, well-loved panto traditions and friendly atmosphere all go into making the Princes Hall pantomime an annual Christmas treat for all the family. Roberts’ productions consistently achieve critical acclaim, including being listed as one of the best UK pantomimes by The Stage in 2016/17. 2019 will also mark Donovan Christian Cary’s eighteenth consecutive show. Donovan’s accomplishments include winning Encores ‘Best Dame’ award, being named “one of the best dames in the business” by the Stage newspaper in 2011 and being nominated for Best Dame at the 2017 British Pantomime Awards. And Auntie of the year award goes to ME! I was lucky enough a few months ago to be able to treat my niece and 10 of her friends to a party that every 10-year-old would love – AirHop Guildford! My 10yr old niece Mia has loved AirHop for a long time and she was due to have her 8th birthday party there but thanks to Covid it had to be cancelled so this year we made up for it. AirHop offer three different party packages to suit different budgets: Classic, Premium and Extreme UV. Plus a MiniHopper Party Package for little bounce enthusiasts up to 6 years during their dedicated MiniHopper Takeover sessions. We went all out for the Extreme UV and it was certainly worth the little extra cost. Included in the package was a 60 minute jump for Mia and her 10 friends, 30 minutes in the party room with enough Domino’s Pizza for all the kids (plus the greedy grown up’s!), a party bag for every guest and a load of UV accessories which as you can see they made the most of (sorry to the Mum who’s daughter was due at a family dinner straight after!) There ain’t no party like an AirHop party!!! The kids certainly made the most of their hour’s jump, it was exhausting watching them! They even got to have an exclusive game of dodgeball, boy’s vs girls obviously! The boys seemed to spend most of their time competing on the obstacle course whereas the girls were competing on Wipeout and checking themselves out on the AR trampolines. From a parent’s point of view, I can’t recommend AirHop for a party highly enough. It was completely stress free which I think for a parent is the main thing when it comes to a party. As soon as you arrive you are introduced to a member of staff who is there to help with anything and everything you could need for your party. They give your safety briefing, are on hand for any requirements and take you to the party room after the jump session. Once in the party room they basically become your own private butler ensuring all the kids are suitably full of pizza and slushies! For the first time this year I arranged a birthday party for my own daughter. She is only four, so we did the usual; book a church hall, arrange some entertainment, put together a buffet make a cake, do the party bags etc - the stress of it all not to mention the cost!! Next year I think we will head to AirHop for some stressfree jumping fun!! Raring2go! PARTY TIME! 12

The Lookout Discovery Centre have worked with us here at Raring2Go! but this was my first visit! My daughter has only just turned 4 and I was still a little bit concerned as to whether it might be too young for her but not at all, she loved it! Lookout Discovery is set within Swinley Forest in Bracknell which is also home to Go Ape. There is plenty of parking, although parking isn’t free as the carpark isn’t just used by Lookout Visitors. The centre has over 90 hands-on science exhibitions from launching a hot air balloon, making a paper plane fly to playing on a giant piano! There is something for all ages and although it is probably more geared towards primary school aged children my daughter absolutely loved it! While we were there we had lunch in The Woodlarks Café which had a great selection of Hands-on Science at The Lookout! hot and cold food. We grabbed a picnic bench outside and after lunch enjoyed the adventure playground and had a little wander in the forest. I can honestly say of all day trips we have done this Summer (and there have been a few!) this one was our favourite!

Like many women, when I found out I was expecting my little girl I wondered what that meant for my career. I knew the long daily commute into London wasn’t something I wanted to do anymore but I still wanted to work and enjoy a career in an industry I love. Like many women I decided to work for myself and was lucky enough to discover Raring2Go! I’m very fortunate that being part of a franchise, I work with a network of extraordinary women around the country but for many women working for themselves it can be lonely. This year, three local ladies came together to combat that by launching ‘Women’s Work’ a network of local female business owners with lots in common. I’d come across them on Instagram and was keen for you all to hear more about them…. “We, Jo (Instagram Specialist & Coach ), Sophie (Digital Marketing Strategist and Consultant) and Lauren (Virtual Assistant) all work for ourselves and love the flexibility to work around our kids, but sometimes between working and family life, being at home all the time can get a bit tedious! Redefining ‘Women’s Work’ we run kick ass businesses that empower and support other women plus we juggle family life, love to chat, drink prosecco, and laugh (a lot). Having not found a local group that connected us with women who love the same thing, we decided to create one! And since March this year we have hosted over 120 fabulous female business owners based in Surrey, West Sussex & Hampshire. From garden designers and party planners to photographers, nutritionists and accountants, we have attracted a wonderful group of women whose common ground is to support one another without judgement whilst having some fun along the way. Our events include relaxed evening drinks and nibbles at independent local venues, always lots of fun and laughter and the promise to meet other like-minded business women - our last event saw over 40 wonderful women spend a beautiful Summers evening sipping English sparkling wine at the spectacular Albury Vineyard. We have also had huge success with our local co-working days which have taken place in some great locations around Surrey such as the Coppa Club in Haslemere and Cranleigh Golf & Country Club…it’s always important to remember how good it is to bounce ideas around and to enjoy some company whilst working. And the best bit? Seeing the collaborations that have been forged when these amazing women come together - and there have been many, it’s fantastic to witness! There is lots more to come and we have already started planning a super exciting event for the Autumn…. So if you are a female small business owner or work remotely and simply would like to meet like minded people then join us, we’d love to meet you! Follow us on instagram @womensworksocial and sign up to our newsletter to be the first to hear about our next event… it’s going to be one to remember! @social_jo @the_social_pod @laurenhopkinsva 29 WOMEN’S WORK Raring2go! raring2go.co.uk Redefining ‘Women’s Work’
