10th June Victoria Day – Aldershot Victoria Day is a fun-filled day of family activities, live music, dance and forty stalls throughout Aldershot town centre from 10am to 4pm. It celebrates Aldershot’s close ties with Queen Victoria and attracts thousands of visitors to the town centre. This year’s theme is ‘Circus’ and we’ll be putting on the greatest show! The highlight of the day is the grand parade at 11am, which includes more than 600 people including samba and marching bands, schools, community groups, veterans, Nepali and Indian dancers, classic cars and Queen Victoria - Aldershot’s Betty Bryce. 9th - 11th June The Smeds & The Smoos - The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Soar into space with this exciting adaptation of the award-winning book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. On a far-off planet, Smeds and Smoos can’t be friends. So when a young Smed and Smoo fall in love and zoom off into space together, how will their families get them back? Music, laughs and interplanetary adventures for everyone aged 3 and up, from Tall Stories – the company that brought you The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom live on stage. 17th June Camberley Armed Forces Day Showcasing Camberley’s rich history and close links with the Military, this free family fun event will be an opportunity for the local community to come along to show its support for our Service Personnel, Past, Present and Future. The day will be filled roaming street entertainment and lots of free family activities across the town. 24th June Sing-a-long Encanto – G Live Cheer on Mirabel as she tries to save the magic surrounding the Encanto. Sing your heart out with our live host, who will teach you some dance moves, help you create some magic and show you how to use your free props bag. It couldn’t be easier or more fun! The first rule of Sing-a-long-a is THERE ARE NO RULES! Fancy dress is strongly encouraged and full audience participation essential. 24th June Farnham Carnival With more and more people today rediscovering the joy of reading, Carnival 2023 celebrates this with our theme showcasing The Wonderful World of Books! So come and join the fun on Saturday 24th June when the town will be thronged with colourful fictional characters from across the ages, from Oliver Twist and Alice in Wonderland to today’s classic favourites such as Harry Potter, Tracey Beaker and the Gruffalo! 24th & 25th June Gig on the Green – Yateley Gig on the Green will be back in 2023 for the 12th music festival held in the heart of Yateley. It promises to be a spectacular weekend of fun, music and entertainment for all the family. The festival will be held over two days on the weekend of Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th June 2023. Both days will be jam-packed with high energy music, dancing and fun, featuring a selection of the UK’s best tribute acts, interspersed with the very best local musical talent.
