Preston Park Museum (almost free !) & Preston Park near Stockton 5. Angel of the North 6. Climb Roseberry Topping near Guisborough & see the view 7. Walk along the pier at Saltburn, beach, cliff lifts & mini train to enjoy too 8. Explore some Newcastle Art Galleries – try The Laing Art Gallery, The Biscuit Factory or the Baltic Art Museum 9. Visit the Tees Barrage & watch the canoes 10. mima Middlesbrough & enjoy the fountains & giant screen in Centre Square 11. The Great North Museum, Newcastle 12. Climb Auckland Tower in Bishop Auckland and explore the deer park at Auckland Castle 13. Visit Palace Green Library, Durham and explore the Museum of Archaeology. 14.
