Durham Christmas Festival opens on Friday 3rd December, running for three days, featuring four markets: the Craft & Gift Marquee on Palace Green, the Regional Producers’ Market in the Cloisters of Durham Cathedral, a Festive Outdoor Market in Durham Market Place and Durham Market Hall. You can shop with over 170 independent businesses so come and pick up gifts, homewares, Christmas decorations, festive food and much much more! Bring your Christmas shopping list and tick off loads of items! To complete the festive feel, the city will be filled with the sounds of Christmas with buskers and carollers throughout – and Carols for All returns to Durham Cathedral on both Saturday and Sunday, the perfect family addition to Durham Christmas Festival weekend! Visitors to the festival will be encouraged to enjoy the event safely by adhering to the visitor guidelines, which will be available to view on the website.
