Some of the less frequently seen parts of the Museum’s collection will be on display as well as lots of visiting vehicles. Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Dambusters Raid in May, Brooklands Museum launched a new exhibition ’Inventing the future: The Innovations of Sir Barnes Wallis’, focusing on the pioneer’s incredible life and career. Visitors can learn about Wallis’ extraordinary contributions to engineering and science, and how they continue to impact today’s designs and technologies. Be transported this summer at Brooklands Museum Not forgetting, each year Brooklands Museum hosts special event days dedicated to particular motoring marques, and this summer, it’ll be hosting its very first French Day on 13th August. Then take a drive down route 66, as American Day (3rd September) makes its return. Think Chevrolets, Cadillacs, Mustangs, trucks, stars and stripes, and a whole lot more. Easily accessible by car or train, parking is free and there’s a café and plenty of picnic space available.
