SATURDAY 15TH JUNE The Specsavers Surrey Youth Games is back, offering FUN, FREE and LOCAL activities for 7–16 year olds as well as a final Games day for the whole family at Surrey Sports Park in June. The Games are open to all but are actively promoted to encourage young people who may not ordinarily get the chance to attend a club, who may have been put off by the thought of competing against others or who are new to sport. The perfect opportunity to have fun with friends and learn new skills – all for FREE! Waverley Borough Council is encouraging 7-16 year olds who are interested in attending free weekly activity sessions from the sports available to register via www. activesurrey.com/SYG, Registration opens on 1st March! The activities start in April with all teams coming together for a family-friendly event at Surrey Sports Park in Guildford on Saturday 15 June. To represent Waverley at the Specsavers Surrey Youth Games, you must fulfil the following criteria; 1 Be available on the Games day on Saturday 15 June 2 Live or go to school in Waverley 3 Meet eligible criteria for the activities on offer 4 Want to take part in the activities 6-8 weeks leading up to the Games. Activity sessions will start after the Easter holidays. You will be met by our friendly and qualified coaches along with Jake who is leading Waverley’s activities at Waverley Borough Council.
