WHAT’S ON 4 JULY Have a blast at Fort Nelson this summer Fort Nelson, Fareham 24th July – 5th September Fire their imaginations this summer with a barrel-load of fun activities for all the family at Fort Nelson, including an exciting junior assault course and interactive trails. Come and explore this massive Victorian fort with its deep tunnels, high ramparts and enjoy the spectacular views over the Solent and surrounding countryside. History will be brought to life every weekend with costumed characters and stories from life at the Fort from Victorian times through to the Second World War. Plus, with over 350 big guns from the national collection of artillery to discover, it’s bound to be an action-packed day out for the whole family. Open 10am – 5pm, free museum admission, car parking £3. Guildford Fringe Festival 2nd - 25th July The Fringe is an open access, multi-arts festival. You can expect theatre, comedy, poetry, music, visual arts, children’s shows, workshops, burlesque, talks and lots and lots of FREE EVENTS! After having to cancel Guildford Fringe Festival 2020 get ready for a shed load of artists, bursting with energy ready to help bring Guildford back to life! Come and join us for our most exciting year yet! Stoke Park Railway Open Days 3rd, 4th and 25th July and 5th, 15th and 26th August Miniature train rides on both our raised and ground level tracks will be running on selected days this summer in Stoke Park. Train rides are £5 for a group of up to 6 people and must be prebooked. Refreshments and toilets are available. Surrey Hills Artisan Festival 3rd & 4th July This outdoor festival will showcase the artisans of the Surrey Hills. Buy local produce, arts & crafts, learn new skills, enjoy delicious food & drink, and see master craftspeople in action. Dorking Halls Plays in the Park 16th - 18th July Popular open air theatre weekend Plays in the Park is back at Meadowbank on 16-18 July with a brand-new line-up of shows, including drama, comedy and children’s theatre. The Collectively Camberley Rooftop Film Festival 2021 16th – 18th July Come and enjoy our unique outdoor cinema experience, up on the roof! We will have some new entertainment for you to enjoy at each screening! Family favourites such as Toy Story 4, Lion King and Frozen 2 will be showing across the 3-day festival. Guildford Cheese and Chilli Festival 17th & 18th July The Cheese & Chilli Festival offers a fantastic family friendly, fun-filled event. Spicing things up with all things cheese and chilli, the event will see a whole host of tasty treats, amazing entertainment and food competitions for those that can handle the heat. What’s more the festival will be supporting worthwhile charities, with a team raising funds throughout the two-day show. Loxwood Drive in Movies 17th July - 1st August At Loxwood, we’re proud to bring you all the magic of the big screen with our classic drive-in movie experience with 27 matinee and evening performances of classic movies from £20 per car. With movies such as Toy Story and the Lego movie to kids’ classics like the Goonies and E.T. you can even have food and drink delivered to your car!
