This Summer 21st June - 13th July Romeo & Juliet, Guildford Shakespeare Company This summer one of the greatest love stories of all time will burst onto the streets of Guildford. Celebrating their 18th birthday, Guildford Shakespeare Company is closing the High Street every evening to bring to life the passion and excitement of Shakespeare’s iconic star-crossed lovers, Romeo & Juliet. On one of the UK’s most beautiful high streets, audiences will be immersed in Shakespeare’s gripping tale of love and sacrifice. 29th - 30th June Gig on the Green, Yateley The festival will be held over two days and will be jam-packed with high energy music, dancing and fun! Bring your own picnics, or enjoy meals, drinks and snacks from the many food outlets, bars and stalls. 29th - 30th June Guilfest, Stoke Park After 10 long years, GuilFest returns to its spiritual home of Stoke Park in Guildford on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June 2024. We are so excited and cannot wait to welcome you back to Stoke Park with a bang! With acts such as The Stranglers and Sam Ryder headling, it promises to be a brilliant weekend. 5th July Showaddywaddy at Princes Hall Theatre ‘The Greatest Rock & Roll Band In The World’ is a bold statement but Showaddywaddy has lived up to that title for the last 5 decades! Formed in the 1970s in Leicester from several local bands, they have sold more than 20 million records and have toured all corners of the World extensively. 5th - 7th July Haslemere Fringe Festival This year’s fantastic lineup includes music from Daniel Bedingfield, Blue, Callum Beattie, T’Pau, Haircut 100, Rebecca Ferguson and many more. Plus comedy on the Friday night from Milton Jones, Mandy Mudden, Paul Sinha, Peter Brush, Nick Everritt and Bert Broadbent. 19th July Drawing for Adults, The Lightbox, Woking Meet their resident artist Marianne Frost on the 1st floor, collect a stool and some materials and set off into the galleries for two hours of indulgent reflective time to draw inspiration from the outstanding collections on display. These sessions are aimed at adults of all abilities, from complete beginners through to confident artists. 20th - 21st July The Cheese and Chilli festival, Shalford Park Indulge in a delectable journey through an array of cheese and chilli delights, from creamy cheeses to fiery sauces, showcasing the best of local and regional produce. Test your spice tolerance in the thrilling Chilli Eating Competition or explore the Cheese Festival’s diverse range of artisanal offerings. 20th July Ibiza night at Cowdray Park Polo Club The holy grail of Spanish partying is none other than Ibiza, the party capital of the world. It’s where house music and pop remixes reign supreme. ‘Viva La Vida’ and dance the night away to classic Ibiza 90’s and 00’s anthems spun by the celebrated duo Mark Hobbs and Simon Horn - The Back To Back Vinyl DJs. 26th July The Peter Kay Experience at Camberley Theatre Carlton Entertainment presents an evening of comedy with 2 of the UK’s most in demand comedians… Simon Marks as Peter Kay, and the outstanding comedy vocalist Marc Bolton.
