Nine year old Eva is interested in a career in journalism, so she took on our challenge to interview a young businesswoman for us. Here’s what she wrote for us: Eight year old Lucy has started her own business selling a range of fidget toys both online and out of Dizzy Duck , Harrogate. Lucy has named her business Win at Life Kids , so I went over to see her to learn more. I asked her lots of questions, and she had some really interesting answers. Q. Why did you strat your own business? A. I just wanted to see what it is like so that when I am older I can improve. It is something that I want to do when I am older. Q. Why did you choose fidgets in particular? A. Because fidgets are popular right now, and when fidgets aren’t popular I will change to something else. Q . Where do you get all of your fidgets from? A. We get them online and from our suppliers. I check which ones are best to sell by playing with them! Q. What is your favourite fidget? A. I really like the jumbo poppet (heart poppet, pictured at top left of display). Q. What will you do with all your money? A. I will give a bit to stock and keep some for myself for Robux. But mostly for stock! Q. Why did you choose Win at Life Kids as a name? A. I just thought of a name that I didn’t have to change when I changed products. Q. How is your business going so far? A. Really well, we are selling lots of fidgets and getting lots of customers that want to come in to buy figests and clothes at the same time (I did exactly this! Ed.) Q. How did you create your website? A. My mum helped a lot and we posted on facebook to York, Harrogate, Bradford, Newcastle and all over North Yorkshire. Q. Do you have a message for young people wanting to start their own business? A. I recommend being in business at eight, start early. It can help later on if you want to do another business. Q.
