Raring2go! PLACES TO GO 5 Raring2go! Visits Little Pandas Play Café I was really excited to visit Little Pandas, the lovely play café in Ross-on-Wye. Turning off Penyard Lane into the Enterprise Centre, Little Pandas is located in the very first building on the left. There are several car parking spaces and it’s free to park - always a bonus! You enter Little Pandas through a gated garden area with climbing frame, toys and several picnic benches . It’s a lovely outdoor space, especially when the sun is shining. A gently ramped entrance into the building ensures easy access for prams, pushchairs and for wheelchair users too. Inside is like a tardis! There is a great climbing frame with slide, set in the centre of a large play area, with lots of ride on toys for the little ones to choose from. A play barn houses toy chickens, with their eggs dotted around for children to collect. There is a further room at the rear of the building, with a large, soft play area with padded climbing frame, and yet another room which is essentially a huge ball pit! It’s easy to see why children love coming here - there is something for all abilities and imaginations. A play builders yard, play barn, and a role ‘play house’ room with sofas, grandfather clock, dining table, and dolls, all encourage imaginative role play. For those with younger babies, or children needing a calming space, there is a beautiful, well equipped sensory room with padded floor, image projector, bubble tube, infinity mirrors and fibre optic lights. Of course, it wouldn’t be a play café without the café! Hot and cold drinks, cakes and snacks can all be enjoyed in the lovely seating section overlooking the children’s play areas, where you will also find two arcade games - a thoughtful addition for older siblings during school holidays. Unlike many other indoor play areas, you will need to book a play session at Little Pandas. This ensures it is never overcrowded, so the children get to play freely on all the equipment, while parents can relax over a much welcomed cuppa! Play sessions at Little Pandas are held Tuesday - Saturday, from 9:30am - 11am, 11:30am - 1pm, and 1:30pm - 3pm. SEND sessions are held every other Tuesday from 4pm. Little Pandas is also the perfect place for a child’s birthday party - these are held on Sundays only, so we suggest booking well in advance.
