21 Raring2go! WHAT’S ON? The Northumberland County Show is always a superb family day out. Meet the giant tortoises and watch our main arena attractions including Jonathon Marshall’s Free Spirit Show. Jonathon is a professional falconer and horse trainer, and the act involves him riding his magnificent black stallion, Amadeus, while simultaneously flying falcons in a carefully choreographed performance. The spectacle includes dramatic music and the falcon flying right through the horse’s legs at over 100mph! Newcastle Circus Arts are offering fun free workshops all day, with juggling, plate spinning, hula hoops and low wire skills to try. Fans of Jurassic Park’s Blue the velociraptor will be thrilled with the dinosaur shows by Jurassic Ark Encounters. There are five baby dinosaurs to meet. As always there are hundreds of animals, including cows and sheep, horses and ponies, pigs and goats, alpacas, rabbits and guinea pigs, plus competitive baking and crafts. You can also enjoy live music and great food; fun fair; Cumberland Wrestling; Children’s Area with Vikings. hounds and beagles, a Sheep Show, and over 350 trade stands and food outlets.
