Raring2go! Northumberland

Raring2go! WELCOME Welcome to my final edition of Raring2go! After 11 years I am moving on to a new chapter and passing the reins over to Rachel, a local Mum who is Raring2go! I have really enjoyed my time as Editor, it’s allowed me to continue my career at my pace whilst also bringing up my two children. Another opportunity has come my way and I feel the time is right to move on. I would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you to our advertisers, many of which have been with us from our very first issue, I am very grateful to work with such loyal, supportive and passionate local businesses. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my mam, who listened & encouraged me 12 years ago to take the leap from full time employment to becoming a business owner. Over the years she has helped me with childcare, proof reading, attending events with me, deliveries and most of all she always been my biggest cheerleader & believed in me. She has been a huge part in my Raring2go! journey and I’m so thankful this has enabled us to spend time together. Although I’m not going to lie, I think we are both looking forward to spending time together that doesn’t involve lifting boxes full of magazines! Another shout out goes to Anna, Alison & Vicky my neighbouring R2G editors. As self-employed business owners, we all run our own areas, but we support each other as colleagues, they have become great friends over the years and we have experienced many highs & lows (through covid). We’ve worked together to produce regional features, attended training & events and shared ideas and plans. I’m going to miss being part of the R2G North East team and wish them all the very best. Rachel is taking over within the next few weeks so watch out for updates on our social media platforms & website. Don’t forget the “What’s On” calendar on our website needs to be saved as one of your favourites, it’s always full of ideas to help keep you and your family busy. You can also add events to it too so if you’re planning a family friendly event let our huge audience know! Rachel will be bringing the Winter edition to you in mid-November, this is already looking like a jam-packed edition so if you are thinking about reserving any advertising space please get in touch. Thanks for reading and for all the support over the years, Amy X E. northumberland@raring2go.co.uk MELVA MAPLETREE and the Quest for Barnabas Boggle Step into Melva’s world and join her on an adventure with members of Scratchicle Town to search for Melva’s missing friend Barnabas Boggle.
