3 raring2go.co.uk A warm welcome to the SPRING EDITION Raring2go! WELCOME I love spring! As the days get lighter and the daffodils begin to bloom, it won’t be long before the pile of bikes and scooters will once again be scattered at the front of the house and the cricket bags will line the hall. The long drawn out winter days and the lastminute rush to find the missing glove, will become a distant memory as I start looking ahead to fewer layers and (hopefully) less mud throughout the house. Spring is also a time of new beginnings, which is quite fitting for me as the new editor and owner of Raring2go! Northumberland. With this issue and those to come, my aim is to provide new ideas, new experiences and quality content for parents and children to enjoy. A new addition is the ‘Children’s Party Directory’ to help make planning your child’s next birthday as easy as possible (p.12-15). It will also be a permanent feature on the website, so keep looking in for new ideas and suggestions. This spring, why not connect with natureand heritage at the Northumberland National Park. With plentiful places to go, and activities to do no matter the weather, this areaof outstanding beauty is home to history, wildlife, waterfalls, vast rolling landscapes and England’s darkest skies. For up-to-date ideas visit www.northumberlandnationalpark.org.uk With Easter at the end of March this year, it’s time to start making plans and booking holiday clubs. You will find a selection of ideas on pages 19-23. We also have our usual selection of fantastic clubs and classes for all ages, interests and abilities. You can find this listingon pages 6-10.
