Typically a time when children will use their vivid imaginations to make their Christmas tree stand out. 6th - 12th December Illumination Street, a week long celebration from within local communities sharing some wonderful Christmas light decorations. From Christmas wreaths to truly flamboyant and bold ideas, this initiative is calling for the nation to light up their streets this Christmas and tell a magical story! It is one of the most significant and larget religious and cultural celebrations, where billions of people from all corners of the earth come together. Christmas Day is a time of family, togetherness, peace and harmony. 26th December Boxing Day, celebrates the day after Christmas Day, occurring on the second day of ‘Christmastide’. It originated as a holiday to give gifts to the poor, how- ever nowadays it is known as a shopping spree day! 11th December Christmas Jumper Day It’s fun to dress up in your festive Winter jumper but doing so also gives you a chance to sign up for the Christmas Jumper Day with Save the Children. Veganuary is an annual challenge run by a UK nonprofit organisation that aims to promote and educate about veganism by encouraging people to try and follow a vegan lifestyle for the month of January. Since the event began in 2014, participation has more than doubled each year. 400,000 people signed up to the 2020 cam- paign, and nearly 600,000 did so in 2021 as we were emerging from the last lockdown. So, the question is... will you be one of the new Veganuary sign ups in January 2022?
