Razzamataz Sheffield is not just an expert in teaching singing, dancing and acting to an exceptionally high standard. Through the power of performing arts, children learn invaluable life skills, all while having a brilliant time with their friends so learning comes easily. “When children walk through the doors at Razzamataz, they can really leave any troubles behind and focus on having a great time while getting fit and active,” says Helen Bell, Principal of Razzamataz Sheffield “We have many students that have grown with us over the years and are now leaving us to embark on University and future careers. Whether they are pursuing further education in or outside of the Performing Arts, all have been supported to discover the person that they were meant to be.” Razzamataz Sheffield offer classes in West End and Broadway musical theatre styles as well as the commercial genre, which focusses on acting for camera, street dance and pop singing. As well as the classes, there is a huge emphasis on providing additional opportunities, so students receive a complete performing arts experience. Razzamataz Sheffield and the nationwide franchise theatre school brand is delighted to announce an exciting partnership with Mattel’s Monster High brand, an iconic brand that is known for celebrating individuality and self-expression. The collaboration will empower students to unleash their creativity and embrace what makes them unique through an impactful seven week performing arts programme taking them on a journey of self-acceptance. The immersive music, dance and drama partnership will bring to life the ethos of Monster High, which celebrates a more accepting world where everyone is proud to be their authentic self through inclusion, diversity, and community. Originally launched a decade ago to a devoted fanbase who connected with the brands message of acceptance and embracing your true selves. Monster High has been updated for a new generation of fans to stand for inclusivity with refreshed identities, more inclusive looks and backgrounds as the monsters embrace what makes them unique. The Razzamataz students will be introduced to the new characters and music taken from the Animated series in the September-October 2023 term, leading up to the premiere of the second Monster High Movie that will be broadcast on Nickelodeon and Paramount Plus from 13th October 2023*. The students age 6-11 will all take part in the programme which will feature various elements. This includes dance numbers injected with a spooky twist, music from the Monster High Animated series and in drama, exploring the themes of acceptance and the power of teamwork while working through small excerpts of the script providing an opportunity for diversity, equity and inclusion to be freely discussed and supported by teachers. “This partnership with Monster High aligns perfectly with Razzamataz’s ethos of nurturing young performers in a safe and inclusive environment,” says Helen Bell, Principal of Razzamataz Sheffield.
