Raring2go! Razzamataz Sheffield 17 Razzamataz are delighted to have classes back at Meadowhead School. We are so excited to have welcomed back students from before the pandemic when we had to move temporarily to Dronfield and to be back ‘home’ in the wonderful studios at Meadowhead. We have had quite the journey with our venues over the past 2 years, first reopening in September 2020 across 5 venues in Dronfield. Our team would run from the Parish Hall to the Community Centre to then Sports Centre…and more across the Saturday! We then settled at Dronfield Henry Fanshawe school in Sept 2021 and have remainder there since. We are now delighted to be back ‘home’ to the Meadowhead Studios where we ran classes from February 2015 to March 2020. We love Meadowhead School because… • It has purpose built high quality studios with ballet barres, mirrors and sprung floors • It has big, spacious studios – more space means more opportunities! • It has a stage to allow us to explore different things during our weekly sessions rather than just at show time • It is convenient for parents, right next to St James’s Retail Park and Graves Park Enrolling now! Razzamataz have very limited spaces for our free taster session on 27th May for some age groups. Venue – Meadowhead School, 2 Dyche Ln, Batemoor, Sheffield S8 8BR To secure your child’s place, simply contact the Razz team on 07979189177 / 0114 3030 455 or email sheffield@ razzamataz.co.uk with: – Your child’s name and Date Of Birth – Your name and contact number WEBSITE FACEBOOK INSTAGRAM Razzamataz are back! Contact us for more details We know children love to come to Razzamataz because they have fun in our singing, dancing and drama classes. When you add on all the extra exciting activities we offer, performance opportunities and the chance to take part in industry leading workshops, it is no wonder that parents say their child loves coming to Razzamataz. But there are many other benefits of being part of our Razz mataz community too... How children learn through performing • Their confidence increases. • Their listening skills improve. • Their problem solving skills improve. • They enhance their cognitive, motor and social development. • They learn about teamwork. • They understand the importance of goal setting. • They develop a sense of achievement when they see the joy the audience have. At Razzamataz, we are very focussed on providing your child with important tools and skills for life. Through performing arts, we h lp to build your chil ’s confidence, improve communication skills and inspire them with a love for the arts. Hear from ou Parents: Razzamatazhas most definitely had a massive positive impact on P ebe's development. Prior to attending Razzamataz, Phoebe would not perform or be in front of an audience of any kind. Since being at Razzamataz, Phoebe has been in school nativities (The lead role of Mary no less) and performed for Razzamatazat Sheffi ld City Hall, Sh ffield Octagon and the Christmas light switch ons. Friends, family and people in general cannot believe how confident she is and that before Razzamatazshe was very quiet. Her self confidence, positivity and ability to be in front of a crowd are directly from Razzamataz! How to maximise your child’s learning experiences…. #MoreThanJustATheatreSchool #BecauseConfidenceNowIsMoreImportantThanEver

Raring2go! Clubs & Classes 19 Little Kickers have four different football classes each tailored to a different age group. However, they have two core beliefs that we take into every session. Firstly, they believe in something we call “Play not Push”. It means teaching football in a fun, pressurefree environment. They want to give children a positive introduction to sport as a whole, not just football, so they’re more likely to stay healthy and active throughout their lives. Secondly, they believe football can be educational. Coached in the right way it can stimulate imagination and aid early development skills such as learning colours and numbers, following instructions and playing as a team. It’s an approach that has bagged them numerous awards and helped them expand globally over the last 16 years. And like all their Kickers, they never stop learning. They’re continually improving and updating classes, based on feedback and input from child health specialists as well as their network of over 2,250 football coaches worldwide. If you’d like to know how Little Kickers started you can read more them here www.littlekickers.co.uk/about For more details about local classes call 07532180852 Email bmorton@littlekickers.co.uk

Raring2go! Raring2Read! 21 British Science Week 5th - 14th March Moonflight By Gill Lewis Reviewed by Thomas, aged 9 from London Raring2Read! BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FAMILIES Does your family enjoy reading? Then join our Facebook group, to share ideas, tips and recommendations. www.facebook.com/groups/raring2read This book is the gripping tale of dastardly young rats going on adventures to free a city from a deadly curse. Will they fail drastically or save the day? I literally couldn’t put this book down. I read it in one weekend. My favourite parts were how the plot kept twisting, and then twisting again – so you could never quite guess what would happen at the end. The mood capturing illustrations really bring the story to life. The story shows that rats can be real heroes. Most people hate rats, you may well love them by the end of this tale. I was surprised by how many rats were killed on their heroic adventures, and how they manage to befriend Marmalade, a big cutie of a cat. If you think you like the sound of epic ratty twisting adventures this book is for you. Read it now! Raring2go! would like to thank LoveReading4Kids, for this wonderful review. LoveReading4Kids, the UK’s leading children’s book recommendation website, is now a bookstore with social purpose, where 25% of the cover price can be donated to a school to buy books. Because books change lives. Buy a Book. Support a School. Make a Difference. 1. Building connections and relationships Many young people struggle in their relationships with others, feeling isolated, disconnected and both anxious and afraid of meeting new people. Time spent on an Outward Bound residential helps build meaningful relationships, develop trust, cooperation and a sense of ‘connectedness’. 2. Tackling fear of failure Outward Bound courses are carefully designed so that failure can be positively experienced and overcome. Instructors help develop a positive relationship with failure by encouraging them to redefine it as a learning experience, where “fail” stands for “First Attempt In Learning”. 3. Building a sense of confidence Comfort zones are never easy to step out of but during an Outward Bound adventure young people learn to embrace new experiences and tackle things they have never done before. 3 ways an Outward Bound adventure improves wellbeing Taking part in an Outward Bound course gives young people the opportunity to build confidence and self-belief, to develop skills and to improve their relationships with others, providing them with the tools and resources they need to function well as individuals and to flourish in life – the very foundation of wellbeing. The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity that delivers life-enhancing adventures in some of the wildest corners of the UK.
