What’s On 6 raring2go.co.uk Princess and Superhero Breakfast (Mercure Kenwood Hall Hotel & Spa, S7 1NQ) – 6 April (11.30am-2pm) Enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast while the little ones have fun with exciting activities with our special guest. Don’t forget to come dressed as your favourite character for our fancy dress parade, whether it’s a princess, superhero, or magical creature, the possibilities are endless. It will be a morning filled with fun, laughter, and enchanting entertainment for the whole family. Orienteering - Give it a go! (Chapeltown Park Bandstand, S35 1SX) – 8 April (11am-2pm) Come and explore Chapeltown Park and give orienteering a go. Ideal for families, this is a great opportunity to try a new, free activity. You can go individually or in a group and walk or run at your own pace. Friendly volunteers will be on hand to explain what to do! There’s no need to register in advance - just turn up anytime between 11am and 2pm on the day. Courses close at 2.30pm and the controls will then be collected in. There’s a choice of 3 courses - short, medium & long. You can do all 3 if you like! You don’t need any special equipment or clothes. Just wear something comfortable and some sturdy shoes / trainers. A waterproof might be useful if it’s wet! Easter Egg Hunt on The Moor (The Moor, Sheffield) – 9 & 10 April (11am-3pm) Easter egg stickers will be displayed in the windows of several retailers and eateries across The Moor. Children are to collect a trail map from the Easter Garden gazebo and are tasked with finding where each egg is located - with help from the trail map clues. There will be ten Easter egg stickers to find in total. Once they have found all the stickers and filled in their trail map, they can return it to the Easter Garden gazebo to receive an Easter treat. Free event. Free Kids’ Easter Crafts (Cutlery Works, S3 8AT) – 13 April (10am-12noon) Hop into the Easter spirit with a fun and creative craft session! Little ones will enjoy using their imagination to make a special Easter-themed creation to take home. With a mix of colourful materials, playful textures, and festive decorations, this handson activity is perfect for sparking creativity and celebrating the season. Only little ones need a ticket! Free but child place must be booked. Sharrow Vale Market (Sharrow Vale Road, Sheffield) – 13 April (12noon-4pm) The market sees the vibrant businesses of Sheffield’s Sharrow Vale Road, spill out onto the street, for a bustling closed-road event. Each market welcomes hundreds of stalls, selling a wide variety of locallysourced and homemade produce, along with street food from all corners of the globe, crafts, clothing, plants and more. Many of Sharrow Vale’s shops, pubs and cafes are also open on market days, to add to the atmosphere which often features live entertainment too. Internation Jousting Tournament (Royal Armouries Museum, Leeds) – 18 to 21 April Royal Armouries are delighted to be able to bring liveaction jousting to the heart of Yorkshire. Three teams from the United Kingdom, Germany and USA, will compete for honour and trophies in this live sporting event from medieval times. The museum opens at 10am and there are 2 tournament shows per day starting at 11am and 2pm, featuring knights and horses, plus plenty of pomp and pageantry. Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt (Cutlery Works, S3 8AT) – 20 April (10am-12noon) Meet the Easter Bunny, snap some adorable photos, and enjoy a fun-filled egg hunt. Little ones can explore and search for colourful eggs hidden throughout the area, filled with special surprises. With festive decorations, cheerful music, and plenty of Easter magic, this event is perfect for the whole family. Don’t forget to bring your baskets and your biggest smiles for a day full of joy and springtime fun! Only little ones need a ticket!
