Graves Park Country Show 2025 (Graves Park, S8 8LJ) – 5 May (10am-5pm) Graves Park Country Show is a FREE entry family event that showcases Sheffield’s wonderful Graves Park and the fantastic animal farm there. With lots of animals on show, stalls, crafts, demos, displays, kids activities and fairground rides, it’ll be another great family day out with lots to see and do. Barnsley Morris Minor Owners Annual Rally/ Classic Car Show 2025 (Graves Park, S8 8LJ) – 11 May (10am-4pm) The Barnsley Morris Minor Owners Club bring their Annual Rally/ Classic Car Show to Graves Park. Graves Park is a fantastic venue to see all the Morris Minors, plus other classic cars & motorcycles which will also be on show. The show is open to everyone who comes to visit the Park, and entry is free to the general public. It is a great day out for all the family. There will be a food vendor on site selling delicious food and drinks, a tombola stall which will be raising funds for a local charity, plus much more. Kids’ Dino Meet & Greet and Crafts Session (Cutlery Works, S3 8AT) – 13 April (10am12noon) Step back in time for a roaring good time at this Dino Meet & Greet + Craft Session! Meet a friendly dinosaur, snap some prehistoric photos, and take part in exciting hands-on activities. Young palaeontologists will have the chance to create their very own clay fossils, pressing dino footprints and ancient patterns into clay to take home as a special keepsake. With dino-themed fun, creativity, and adventure, this is the perfect event for little explorers who love all things Jurassic! Only little ones need a ticket! Free but child place must be booked. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the Musical (Sheffield City Hall) – 14 to 17 May Escape to a world of pure imagination with Roald Dahl’s Charlie and The Chocolate Factory – The Musical. Join Charlie Bucket and the other Golden Ticket winners as they embark on an extraordinary journey through Willy Wonka’s marvellous mind. Then watch as they soon learn that nobody leaves the same way that they arrived… Family Concert: Giddy Goat (Crucible Theatre) – 17 May (11am) Being a mountain goat is no fun when you are scared of heights! Stand poor Giddy on a mountain ledge and his head starts spinning and his knees turn to jelly. But can he find the fearless goat inside himself in time to rescue little Edmund, the sheep? This family concert based on the best-selling children’s book by Jamie Rix and Lynne Chapman features original music by Music in the Round’s Children’s Composer-in-Residence, Paul Rissmann, for strings, wind and piano. Presented together with story-telling and projected illustrations from the book, it’s a great introduction to live music for children aged 3 - 7 and includes plenty of opportunities to join in!
