Wander around the cathedral and marvel at the incredible multi-sensory immersive experience which un-folds across the building’s ancient walls. Soak up all the festive feelings of goodwill, enjoy the beautifully decorated Christmas trees in the cathedral’s annual Christmas Tree Festival, relish in seasonal treats from 1554 Coffee and Gift Shop and say a prayer and light a candle next to the famous Sheffield Steel Nativity. www.sheffieldcathedral.org Moor Market & Crystal Peaks Christmas Grottos (Moor Market & Crystal Peaks) - 7, 14, 21 & 23 & 24 Dec At the Moor Markets they have their elves busy already. They are buzzing around in preparation for the “becoming more and more famous” Christmas Grottos at the Moor Market and the Market Place at Crystal Peaks. They love a good grotto, and their will be looked after once more by their wonderful friends from ‘Lil Me Entertainments’. They will be bringing fun and looking after the little (and big) children as they come along to see Santa. Your visit, for the charge of £5 includes a Letter to Santa, making an Elf Headband and Reindeer Food; always popular as they do get hungry flying around. And of course there is the visit to Santa himself with a free present included. Photos can be taken by responsible adults as we do not charge for this so the happy memories can be saved all for free. www.sheffieldmarkets.com Walkley Christmas Market (St Mary’s Church) - 14 Dec (11am to 4pm) The market has been extended this year due to a considerable amount interest, with over 40 stalls offering a vast array of amazing makers and creators selling quality, unique, seasonal gifts and stocking fillers. Hot street food, homemade cake, hot mulled wine, local refreshing ale and luxury hot chocolate will be available throughout the day. Come and listen to and see some live music and entertainment.
