Raring2go! Solihull
Raring2go! PLACES TO GO 11 Excitement is building as a number of festivals are going ahead this Summer, albeit with some restrictions in place. If you’re taking your family to a festival for the first time this Summer, here are a few tips you might find helpful: • Hand sanitiser and baby wipes – an essential even without a pandemic. Running water isn’t always easy to find! • Wellies/ walking boots – the ground can get soggy whatever the weather • Flip flops – you WILL need them for the showers • Toilet paper – no explanation required! • A flag for your tent – make your tent stand out from the crowd so you can easily find your way back • Books/ games – for sheltering during monsoons/intense sunshine • Sunscreen – don’t be complacent about the British weather • Insect repellent – British mini beasts like nothing more than damp fields and BBQ’s • Waterproof trousers as well as coats – you’ll be glad you prepared for ALL weather conditions • Ear protectors/ plugs – protect little ones from loud music, but earplugs also mute the sound of late night chatter from neighbouring campers • Mini paddling pool – help to cool the kids down and keep them clean (ish) • Fold up chairs – you can often take them into the music arena Whichever festival you go to this Summer, have a fabulous time! NB We recommend checking the finer details with the venue direct before setting off. Festival Survival Guide
