WHAT’S ON? 1, 8 & 15 October Herbert Art Gallery and Museum - Dippy Facts and Fossils Discover fun facts about Dippy, the Nation’s favourite dinosaur from the Natural History Museum, along with close encounters with fossils from our collection. Our Learning Team will share a short, interactive talk with our visitors, aimed at families, but all are welcome. Standing at the feet of this 26-foot Diplodocus, you will learn more about Dippy and get hands-on with some of the fossils from the Herbert’s natural history collection. These family-friendly talks will last approximately 20 minutes, in a relaxed and informal environment. 12.30pm - 3.30pm. Work together to solve the mysterious murder that has shaken the enchanted grounds. Unleash your inner detective, unravel clues and unlock secrets in this hair-raising adventure. Don’t miss your chance to become a hero of Halloween by cracking the case. Sound and lighting effects are used but this is not a scare attraction. No one will jump out at you but there What’s On? Autumn 2023 may be a performer in the attraction especially over the half term holiday. The excitable pumpkin scarecrow, Patch, will be returning to greet guests and have his picture taken with them. But beware, as he can be a bit cheeky and loves playing tricks on people! Mitzy and Patch will be joined by their creators, the silly scientists, who will also be entertaining guests throughout the day. Spooky explorers will need to help locate the missing potion ingredients in the free Spooky Trail, to win a delicious treat.
