The giant 8 acre maize maze has a fun Quiz Trail hidden amongst its 3 miles of pathways, with high level bridges and towers giving stunning panoramic views. Visitors have to find 12 quiz boards which will test their knowledge on other mythical creatures and can also take part in a variety of mini mazes and games in the Activity Funyard, which includes a space-hopper track, hoopla, beanbag throwing and a football shooting game. www.wistow.com 20/ 28 July & 6 August The Chocolate Shed – Summer workshops Chocolate Making Workshops for children in the Warwickshire chocolaterie for children to come and celebrate the joy of making hand-made chocolates. During this season’s workshops children will have the opportunity to come and try their hand at chocolate making and make some delicious chocolatey treats to take home with them and enjoy. Check website for recommended age for different sessions. www.thechocolateshed.com 22 July – 2 September British Motor Museum - Exploring nature in the Collection Cars and nature I hear you ask! Well yes, many a car designer and engineer has taken inspiration from nature, so you are invited to explore the car collection with Adventure Annie or Alex and discover how nature has played its part. Young explorers can also enjoy our Museum ‘nature trail’ to seek out the cars that bloom, squawk and roar and then let off steam outside on the adventure playground. There is also a new exhibition to visit and a goody bag to take home. Charli’s story. It’s about losing your voice and going on a big adventure to find it again. It features a rageful rhino, a very helpful fly called Stephen and some really good songs about chips. A show for all the family from award-winning playwright Phoebe Eclair-Powell. Age guidance: 5+. www.belgrade.co.uk 27 July – 31 August Royal Shakespeare Theatre – Summer Activities Celebrate the arrival of Summer with a series of free pop-up performances, interactive workshops and outdoor activities in Stratford-upon-Avon. Many of these activities will celebrate the theatre’s history of costume making through insights into new stories, local social history and the town’s heritage. www.rsc.org.uk 7 – 8 August Jephson Gardens – Art in the Park Festival Royal Leamington Spa’s Art in the Park Festival is a free curated arts festival with a difference. It showcases, sells and provides live demonstrations from artists and craftspeople in Warwickshire and the Midlands. They celebrate independent local and regional food and drink and programme the best live music, dance and theatre from our own doorstep alongside nationally and internationally renowned companies.
