Over the course of a career spanning several decades, Blake has illustrated more than 500 books, bringing to life treasured literary characters in his unmistakeable style and inspiring generations. The journey from Stratford runs at express speeds of up to 75 mph via Solihull non-stop to Birmingham Moor Street. www.vintagetrains.co.uk 17 July – 3 September Wistow Maze To highlight the problems facing the world’s marine wildlife, Wistow Maze has been designed in the shape of a Sea Turtle for the 2023 season. Visitors have to find 12 quiz boards, each one featuring an endangered marine animal and the problems that they face. The giant 8 acre maize maze has a fun quiz trail hidden amongst its 3 miles of pathways, with high-level bridges and towers giving stunning panoramic views. With plenty of space, the maze offers great outdoor entertainment for young and old. Visitors can also take part in a variety of mini mazes and games in the Activity Funyard, which includes a space-hopper track, hoopla, beanbag throwing and a football shooting game.
