After a short talk about bats at the Visitor Centre we then go out into the night with our bat detectors to listen to and identify the bats 26th – Classics on the Common A spectacular array of over 1,000 classic cars, scooters, and motorbikes pack Harpenden Common for the annual Classics on the Common, one of the UK’s largest one-day classic car events! Visitors can expect to enjoy a wide variety of cars at the event, with everything from 1913 model T Ford and a 1916 Stanley Steamer, to Rolls Royces and Maseratis making appearances in past years. The event is free to attend, though donations are encouraged.
