VISIT THE MUSEUM OF THE From 26 June 2021, following the ‘roadmap to recovery’, visitors will once again be able to interact with hands-on exhibits, take part in crodscolloping craft activities, strike a power pose with Matilda, come face-to-face with Fantastic Mr Fox, and discover Roald Dahl’s famous Writing Hut, the birthplace of his much-loved characters. With visitor comfort of paramount importance, the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre will be controlling numbers on site through pre-booked tickets only, until further notice. This summer the Museum also plays host to a brand-new Imagining Fantastic Mr Fox exhibition, celebrating 50 years since the title’s publication. Visitors will have the chance to find out how the character of Fantastic Mr Fox has been brought to life over the years by creators such as Sir Quentin Blake, Jill Bennett and Wes Anderson, and see how many hidden objects they can spot in the miniature version of Roald Dahl’s Writing Hut created by model-making students from the National Film and Television School. Steve Gardam, Director of the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre, says: “ We are ecstatic to be able to re-open.
