JUNE Big Bandstand, at Cassiobury Park Bandstand 12th June – 18th September Situated near the Cha Cafe, every weekend during the summer months, it plays host to a jam-packed programme of FREE live shows, playing everything from jazz to ukulele – and of course, lots of traditional brass bands for you to enjoy. What better way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon! Summer Evenings, at Paradise Wildlife Park 24th June – 23rd July Visit Paradise Wildlife Park after hours and see the zoo in a whole new light! Take in the stunning backdrop of Paradise Wildlife Park where you can see the amazing animals settle down for the end of the day. These evenings will offer you a unique experience to see the animals in a different light. There will be something for everyone from delicious food and Pimm’s to some tasty ice creams! Oxhey Open Gardens, at Oxhey Village 26th June Oxhey Open Gardens is an annual event, showcasing creative, inspiring, village gardens to enthusiastic gardeners and visitors. As well as gardens of every style and size, you can stop for delicious homemade cakes, teas and refreshments along your route. JULY Mandrakes and Magical Creatures, at Harry Potter Studio Tour 1st July – 12th September Mandrakes and Magical Creatures is arriving at the Studio Tour to shine a spotlight on how your favourite creature effects were brought to life on screen. Remember to be on the lookout for your favourite magical creatures as you explore the Studio Tour, as Cornish Pixies, Dumbledore’s beloved Fawkes and the animatronic Monster Book of Monsters can be spotted during your i it I dditi ill l h v s . n a on, you w earn ow Thestrals and Mandrakes were brought to life using a mixture of scale models and CGI in the Creatures Workshop. Wildfest, at Verulamium Park 2nd July A great family day out in St Albans where you can explore wildlife in and around Verulamium Park. There will be information stands, bird watching, sweep netting, tree walks, scavengers hunts, river dipping, butterfly walks, nature crafts, storytelling and more - lots of opportunities for people to learn about local wildlife conservation and how they can get involved. Come along and go wild! Chorleywood Village Day, at Chorleywood Common 9th July The eighteenth Chorleywood Village Day will be held on Chorleywood Common. Join in with what will be a fun filled day for all the family. Lots of stalls, performances, food, drink and more, including a funfair!
