Homemade Burgers with Mozzarella Our step by step guide to make a perfect burger with Mozarella cheese topping! 1: In a bowl, mix the minced beef, diced onion, salt & pepper (chilli powder & garlic powder if required) 2.Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. 3. Form each portion into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick. Use your thumb to make a small indent in the centre of each patty (this helps them cook evenly). 4. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. 5. Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness. Adjust the cooking time depending on your preference (longer for well-done). 6. About 1 minute before the patties are done, place a slice of mozzarella cheese on top of each patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese. 7. While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown. 8. Place the cooked patties with melted mozzarella on the bottom half of each bun. 9. Add any desired toppings such as lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, or mustard. 10. Top with the other half of the bun. 11. Serve the burgers hot with your favourite side dish (chips, or salad). Enjoy your delicious homemade mozzarella cheese burgers! For the burger patties: 1 lb (450g) minced beef (80/20 blend for juiciness) 1 onion thinly diced Salt and pepper to taste 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional) ½ tsp chilli powder ( optional) For the assembly: 4 burger buns 4 slices mozzarella cheese Lettuce (optional) Tomato slices (optional) Ketchup, mustard, or your favourite condiments (optional) Pickles (optional) Mozzarella cheese burgers are a mouthwatering twist on a classic favourite. Juicy beef patties grilled to perfection, then topped with creamy, melted mozzarella that adds a rich and gooey texture. Serve on toasted buns and add fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce and a drizzle of garlic aioli or marinara sauce for extra flavour. The mozzarella’s mild, milky taste pairs beautifully with the savory beef, making every bite taste delcious. Perfect for summer barbecues or cosy dinners without fuss or formality. Raring2make!
