WHAT’S ON 20 29th August Ride The Lights Blackpool The popular free event sees the seafront stretch fully closed to vehicles for one night only between 19:00 - 22:00 to allow cyclists to get a sneak preview of the Blackpool Illuminations ahead of the annual Switch-On. Ride the Lights is attended by thousands of people every year and has become a firm favourite.Hundreds of children and families from all over the North West and beyond attended the event and many decorated their bikes with a lights theme with a myriad of colourful and exciting designs on display, including a stunning log flume-themed design and even a dodgem themed bike! This is a free event! 31st August Brockholes Preston Family Batwalk The Bat Walk Night will start with an introduction to these fascinating creatures and the equipment we will be using to detect them before heading out on the reserve for a walk to see if the bats are out and about!
