Raring2go! EDUCATION 34 Here at Barrow Hills, we’re very excited to introduce our new Head, Mr John Towers, who joined us in September. Mr Towers has over thirty years’ experience in both the independent and state sector and joins us after nine years at Homefield Prep in Sutton. As you can see from this photo with our Head Pupils, he has already settled in comfortably with the aid of his trusty companion, Mr Chops. Mr Towers explains that what drew him to Barrow Hills was “a call to arms for a Head to ‘achieve even greater success’ in a school ‘for life’”. Particularly appealing for him was the potential for service within a family-oriented prep supported by the collegiality of the Bridewell Foundation. He said, “I Introduction to Mr John Towers New Head at Barrow Hills School was really impressed with the overarching mission of Bridewell. It dovetails nicely with work I’ve done with IAPS and HMC schools on widening bursaries. It is so important to be lined up with the ethics and character of the foundation you will champion.” We are thrilled to have Mr Towers representing Barrow Hills and we warmly welcome him into our community. Exciting projects are already in motion, and we can’t wait to see what we achieve under his leadership.
