September 23rd Sep - 7th Nov York Museum Gardens Ghosts In The Gardens are coming back… the jilted bride that haunts the Hospitium, a crusading knight, even a few ghastly animals. This year there will be more ghosts sculptures, in more gardens. This year’s display promises to be bigger and better as the BID are adding ghosts to more gardens – at Treasurer’s House, The Merchant Adventurers Hall, Middleton's Hotel, The Artists Garden and St Anthony’s Garden. There are twenty-five ghosts in all to find. 23rd Sep - Oct York Food Festival run events throughout the year celebrating local and regional food and drink, with the main 10 day festival held at the end of September. It is a not-for-profit organisation and any money generated from ticket sales goes back in to the festival to improve it year after year! 23rd - 25th Sep York Balloon Fiesta brings a weekend of hot air balloons, children’s entertainment, live music, tribute acts, food and drink, as well as a funfair with rides never seen before in York
