The Butterfly Farm team of experts will demonstrate from egg through to adult the amazing stages of the butterfly life cycle as well as opportunities to handle a variety of unusual stick insects. During the summer holidays visitors will be encouraged to make a green promise in the Discovery Zone and write a pledge to help protect nature. Wistow Maze In celebration of Sir David Attenborough’s 100th year, Leicestershire’s famous Wistow Maze has been designed in the shape of a Gorilla. The giant 8-acre maize maze has a fun Quiz Trail hidden amongst 3 miles of pathways, with high-level bridges and towers giving stunning panoramic views. Visitors have to find 12 quiz boards, featuring animals from his pioneering nature series, as well as learning more about this iconic historian and broadcaster. Visitors can also take part in a variety of mini mazes and games in the Activity Funyard, which includes a space-hopper track, hoopla, beanbag throwing and a football shooting game. www.wistow.com 21 July – 27 August Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery – My First Museum Tour Tuesdays and Thursdays.
