9 Raring2go! SUMMER FUN Big Beach, at Watford Town Centre 12th – 27th August If you can’t make it to the beach this year, they’ll bring the beach to you! The beach is completely free – and is the perfect chance for people of all ages to lap up the summer sun, with deck chairs and tables provided to help you relax. There are a variety of beach toys and buckets and spades which you’ll be able to get from the beach hut – as well as any information you might need. Feel free to bring your own food and drink, or if you prefer, the Big Beach is surrounded by many fabulous restaurants from which you could order! Colourscape, at Cassiobury Park 19th – 28th August Enter a new world of colour and light. Explore a unique labyrinth of 70 interlinked chambers of intense colours and discover musicians and dancers interacting with you. Explore for a while and discover long views of intense colour and light. Move forwards and another view opens up - and another - and another! Musicians and dancers are found anywhere in this extraordinary space leading you on a journey of colour, music and space. Summer Funfair, at Harpenden Common 24th – 28th August Join the fun on Harpenden Common with the return of exciting rides and fairground stalls! SEPTEMBER Pub in the Park, at Verulamium Park 8th – 10th September Join us in Verulamium Park for the ultimate food and music festival. Hosted by chefs Tom Kerridge and Ainsley Harriott, there will be award-winning restaurants, banging live music, more incredible chefs and of course delicious food! Pub in the Park festival is split into sessions over the weekend, afternoon sessions are perfect with a chilled one with your mates or the kids and the evening sessions are made for those who want to party. Big Sports, at Watford Town Centre 9th September The FREE Big Sports event will be returning to The Parade in 2023 with a whole host of sporting and fitness activities for you to try out alongside health and wellbeing advice.
